Step-by-Step: How to Get Licensed in Ontario
- Complete the 40-hour in-class course (training‐only $220).
- Earn First Aid & CPR-C (add $140) unless you already hold a valid WSIB certificate.
- Receive your TCN and book the provincial exam (currently $75.15).
- Pass the Ontario Security Guard Test administered by Serco.
- Apply for your licence online through ServiceOntario (fee $80).
- Download your digital licence and start working immediately.
